Duo-Technik's patented drying system for inline and rotary diecutters is characterized by requiring a very low installation space: It is available on the market in widths of 45 to 110 mm and working widths up to 3,600 mm. Because of the narrow construction width of this dryer, a completely new nozzle and hot air supply were designed. The volumes of air that are usually required for drying water-based printing ink could thus be substantially reduced because the high volumes of air make it necessary to have pipe work with a large diameter. The air speed was increased to approximately five times the air speed in standard dryers.

2. Window Patching
Prime UV Window Patching conveyor systems are installed inline with window-patching machines, and allow operators to automatically stack and box at the end of the line. The window-making machine applies UV pattern adhesive. Film is then tacked to the adhesive and the carton passes under the Prime UV curing system. The Prime UV curing system instantly cures the UV window adhesive — locking the window in place in seconds, preventing window failure and increasing productivity. Rejected boxes and non-adhering windows on folding cartons are completely eliminated with the Prime UV Conveyor installed after the pattern gluer.
