Disc Graphics, Hauppauge, N.Y., has agreed to purchase a new 30 in. Komori Lithrone LSX-729 printing press. The  press has been specially configured to provide a 23 by 29 1⁄2 in. print area on a  24 by 30 in. sheet. This offers flexibility for servicing the packaged media, DVD, and quick-response folding carton markets. The press is equipped with the latest technology, including in-line roll-to-sheet capability, fully automatic plate changing system to improve makeready time, and in-line coating. The new press will become operational in the first  quarter of 2009.
