Longview Fibre Paper and Packaging Inc., Longview, Wash., plans to triple the production capacity of its No. 7 paper machine in Longview, Wash., now that its $3.5 million upgrade at its linerboard mill in Longview, Wash. was completed last week, The Daily News reports.
The company says it expects to be positioned to boost sales once the recession is over, and to explore new product lines. Longview Fibre is looking to expand its international markets, which currently make up about one-third of the company’s sales. It expects more development in South American and East Asian markets.
