From Dec. 7-9, 50 supporters of the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) gathered in New York to socialize, network, and enjoy the best that the city had to offer for this holiday season — all while raising funds for ICPF operations. The majority arrived early to take in a Broadway play of their choosing before joining the Friday evening opening reception at the Westin New York at Times Square.
Many of the reception participants got a peek at this year’s Heisman Trophy, which was given the next night to University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow (UF is one of the 2007 recipients of an ICPF CAD Table), before gathering among the event’s 25-ft indoor holiday trees.
On Saturday, ICPF participants toured and shopped in New York before attending the 75th Anniversary Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, followed by two exclusive backstage tours (sponsored by the Bobst Group North America) that included individual photos with the Rockettes. That evening, the ICPF executive group and spouses socialized during a reception and dinner under candlelight in the FireBird Russian Restaurant. Sunday allowed time for participants to tour museums and additional shops before traveling home for the work week.
ICPF is already making plans for the second annual Holiday Weekend in New York for Dec. 12-13, 2008. For more information, call 703-549-8580 or visit www.careersincorrugated.org.
