On Jan. 29, Michigan State University will host its first Packaging Executives Forum, bringing together senior-level packaging professionals from across the nation to foster connectivity between participants, the companies they represent, and the school. The event will take place one day before the MSU Career Fair, at the on-campus Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.
Attendees will learn about the MSU School of Packaging’s strategic plan and can discuss research initiatives, the direction of the research centers, outreach education programming, and how these endeavors can be directed to best serve industry needs. Opportunities for partnerships and collaborations in these areas will also be explored.
Speakers from the School of Packaging include Dr. Susan Selke, acting director; Dr. Rafael Auras, assistant professor; and Dr. Claire Sand, adjunct faculty and consultant; as well as Dr. Jane Severin, consultant, MarsPKG; and Dr. Mark Uebersax, chairperson emeritus and current MSU professor of food science and human nutrition.
