The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) names Tony Petrelli its chairman for a two-year term. He was elected at the national trade association’s annual membership meeting last month.
Petrelli is president and chief operating officer of CardPak, Inc., Solon, Ohio. He has over 25 years of packaging experience, including management and executive roles in sales, marketing, business development, and operations with Packaging Corp. of America, Tenneco Packaging, and Caraustar Industries.
David A. Winter is elected assistant vice president - human resources and J. Christopher Naftzger is elected assistant secretary and assistant general counsel of Chesapeake Corp., Richmond, Va.
Winter has served as director of human resources since joining the company in 1997. Prior to that, he served in various management roles with Best Products since 1975.
Naftzger has served as assistant general counsel since joining the company in July 2007. Prior to joining Chesapeake, he was senior counsel for Koch Industries Inc., Wichita, Kan. He was a partner with the law firm of Blank Rome LLP in Washington prior to joining Koch.
Waste Management Recycle America (WM Recycle America), a Houston-based, wholly owned subsidiary of Waste Management Inc., promotes Matthew Coz from vice president of business development to vice president of growth and commodity sales. Coz will lead the company’s business development, eCycling, commodity sales, brokerage, and international recycling development initiatives. In addition, WM Recycle America promotes Don Majka to vice president of the Commodity Sales and Brokerage Group. Majka, who most recently led the company’s fiber marketing for the East and Southeast regions, will head up WM Recycle America’s commodity sales and brokerage activities, and will report to Coz.
Pierre Bruyère, formerly with Sonoco, is now the general manager at Kruger Recycling, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
