"This seems to be one of the milestones that everyone watches for," states TAPPI's Corugated Division Manager Kristi Ledbetter.
"Once we cross this 200-exhibitor point, many companies start to realize that the exhibit floor is indeed filling up and,
if they haven't done so, they need to reserve their exhibit space while there's still space available. This historically has
been one of the times that we see a strong uptick in sales activity."With SuperCorrExpo 2008 just over six months away, exhibit space sales remain brisk and ahead of same time period sales for
the 2004 exhibit. To date, 115,862 sq ft of exhibit space has been sold, and additional space is being held pending confirmation.
The current number of exhibitors stands at 224.
"SuperCorrExpo has experienced another increase in exhibit sales activity over the past month," Ledbetter says. "Since the
second week of February, another 24 exhibitors have confirmed their exhibit space."
Eric Fletty, vice presidnt of TAPPI points out, "We remain consistently ahead of where we were in the selling cycle leading
up to SuperCorrexpo 2004, and we take this as a very positive sign."For SuperCorrExpo visitors, this means they will have firsthand access to a wide range of innovation and technology from around
the world.
"Many exhibitors have hinted that they are planning new product introductions during SuperCorrExpo," Ledbetter says. "Events
like product introductions are always exciting for the visitor, but more importantly, they provide visitors with an opportunity
to be on the leading edge of technology and competition."
The 2008 TAPPI Corrugated Packaging Conference (Sept. 22-24) and the AICC 2008 Annual Meeting (Sept. 24-26) will be held in
conjunction with SuperCorrExpo 2008. Both events offer attendees a wide range of educational and networking opportunities.
